Alana Ruben Free is an Israeli/ Canadian/American writer, artist, produced playwright, poet former literary editor, liturgist, documentary film producer and active as a relational aesthetics artist She has worked in many area of theatre and film, including: acting, directing, editing, and producing. Alana holds two Master degrees: Creative Writing (Bar Ilan) and Jewish Intellectual History (Touro College) as well as an Honors Business degree from Western University (Ivey School of Business), where she was a Rhodes Scholar Nominee. She has collaborated internationally with theatre artists and in 2015, she collaborated with renowned Israeli artist David Gerstein on “Presence=Present”, which was later sold to Share Zedek Hospital, where it is permanently positioned at the new entrance. Her 2024 Biennale project “Esther’s Throne” and film “Esther Dresses in Divinity” were recently on view at the Bible Lands Museum, Jerusalem. Alana works as a creativity coach and spiritual guide. She is certified in Body-Mind Centering © and was mentored by the world-renowned Jungian therapist, Marion Woodman as well as foremost Creativity Coach, Eric Maisels, and studied over the past three decades with leaders in the fields of creativity, healing and theatre. She is currently being certified in a process that integrates somatic experiencing with Junigan analysis called “BodyDreaming” by Marion Dunlea of Ireland.
